To cut a long story short....

The running gears all done 270,000.
The only problems ive had is with the transmission cooler blowing but i seemed to have fixed it.....

The other day a mate drove it.... (She ownes a VT II Olympic edition)
And she mentioned that when she put her foot down a little bit, it was sluggish. and i mean sluggish:p (I have noticed this since I bought the car)

She says that in her VT, when she puts her foot down a little bit it just wants to GOOOOOOOOOOO>>>>..

Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

Cheers for any helpful info guys:thumbsup:

vs commodore V6 S2 and a BA XR6T
blocked fuel filter.....spark plugs/leads....low fuel pressure....blocked air filter.....slipping auto trans....allot of things can cause this. Also could be that there is not allot of compression.

id start with the fuel filter and plugs/leads air filter

Fitted new fuel filter, new leads & plugs, fuel preasure is good, its a new hi-flow filter.

Slipping transmission might be something to do with it.

One thing i know is that in 2nd or 3rd @ about 3000rpm it wants to just go>>
But from 1st to 2nd its as slow as a combie van with my foot flat.

When I had a VT V6, and I did my O2 sensors, the responsiveness picked up A LOT (and about 2L/100 better fuel economy :))

Ecotec never had super low-end torque, but should be better than what you're describing.

Also recommend a MAF clean, helps a little with response too, especially if you have a oiled air filter, they get dirty pretty quick.

Must say that my stocky 6 doesn't sparkle off the mark either, tho it has never bothered me. At around the 3000 mark, it starts to noticably have a surge in power.

Now on the other hand, the family Magna V6 powers of the mark, would 'eat up' the commy, very sensitive throttle, easily smokes the tires.
