Ok, so it might have something to do with the sensors right?

My previous VN had less sensors and had alot more pedal responce.
But is it all VT's that are like this? Or did us unlucky ones just buy duds?
I really dont think it has much to do with weight difference between VN - VT.....

Even being a V6 it should still somewhat pin you to the seat when you put your foot down.

???... its gonna take a bit of work to get a v6 to pin you to ya seat, either that of forced induction

my vx is a bit sluggish aswell, and also i think theres something wrong with the trans because if decide to take off a little faster than usual at the lights, it feels like the trans is slipping.

The other day a mate drove it.... (She ownes a VT II Olympic edition)
And she mentioned that when she put her foot down a little bit, it was sluggish. and i mean sluggish:p (I have noticed this since I bought the car)

She says that in her VT, when she puts her foot down a little bit it just wants to GOOOOOOOOOOO>>>>..

Im pretty sure also the VT Series II had a little bit more power, but not enough to make that big of a difference as to what your describing

overall i reckon the ecotec engine is not bad for a v6 but what i reckon the biggest let down for them is the electronic transmission

When I had a VT V6, and I did my O2 sensors, the responsiveness picked up A LOT (and about 2L/100 better fuel economy :))

Ecotec never had super low-end torque, but should be better than what you're describing.

Also recommend a MAF clean, helps a little with response too, especially if you have a oiled air filter, they get dirty pretty quick.
I also notice a big improvement when I changed my O2 sensors on my VT.

take it to a transmission shop - mine had a crack in something to do with 1st gear in the auto and it was sorta gettin 1st and 2nd at once instead of just first and was slow as.... really laggy like handbrake was on - it would also sometimes start off in 2nd and be fine. worth lookin into maybe
