why?

and wont you have trouble with 275s on the front with the steering?

Just ever so slight tyre stretch (not enough to be even called stretched at all). Reduces sidewall flex and allows you to get the rim dead flush with the guards without scrubbing issues. with 275's on 10's, the sidewall would be pretty much straight up and down and with 275's on a 10.5, there would be the slightest stretch if u can even call it that. The recommended rim widths for 275/35R19 FK452's on the Falken site are 9-11".

275 on front wouldn't be a problem at all. It's a big, heavy car with 245's standard. 275's are only 30mm wider which won't effect steering enough to notice. Think of all the cars that come with 205's standard that put 235's on.

Yep but 30mm will barely be enough to make a noticable difference, expecially with a good set of tyres that are good in the wet.

New plan: 19x10 +37 front, 19x10.5 +43 rear, 275/35R19 Falken FK452 all round. Much cheaper for tyres.

The trick to fat look and no rubbing is getting the offset spot on and running a slightly stretched tyre.

Nice, be sure to post some pics when you get it done.

I know what you're saying about the slight tyre "stretch". I'm just unclear why you would run two different sized rims but with the same tyre all round? And why go 19's? Apparentley tyres for 20's are more readily available and therefore cheaper - plus they look better IMO.

Because of the Mcpherson strut front, U just can't run a wide rim due to inner clearance otherwise I would run 275's on 10.5's all round. The extra half an inch width on the back means easier to fit without rubbing due to the angle of the sidewall and also it looks a bit fatter from behind lol.

Yep you're right about 20" tyres. Plenty around and good prices but I don't like the look of big wheels with tiny sidewalls at all. I'd have to run 30 profile tyres on 20's which sacrifice grip and comfort IMO. Also more unsprung weight and inertial mass. 20x8 and 20x8.5 has just been done to death on commodores IMO which is why i reckon it'd be sweet to get some FAT 19's. Also the 20" rims cost a fair bit more and shipping from Japan also costs more for the heavier wheel.

I am running R8 19 x 8 inch 245's fronts and 9.5 inch rears with 275's, I wanted to get a spare R8 and loose the space saver so I did a check and put the fronts on the rears and the rears on the fronts.

They fit but touched when I tried a lock to lock turn, I ended up buying a 19 x 8 for a spare with a 245 on it. The other thing is I would not want 275's on the fronts when it's bucketing down rain at 110 k's on the highway, thats asking to do some off road rallying Imo.
