Open question to the seemingly few owners who have this system - does anyone have any pics to share on ground clearance? Mine is below.

Is this expected with this system? I'm hesitant to ask the shop that fitted it to correct it unless I'm 100% its an install issue as they can just say "its meant to sit like that"

I had this system installed yesterday (upgrading from HSV headers & 2.5" catback) - wow what a sound improvement! long tube 4-1s really sound absolutely amazing, and kill all the drone the previous HSV set up had around 2k.

But this clearance... luckily I haven't gone over any speed humps yet - the shop that installed the system for me seems to have it set up hanging almost all below the chassis rails.

I can accept the headers hanging low at the front but the entire cat back section in particular the resonators is probably 30-40mm below the rails. My car is lowered although I'm getting the rear raised about 20-25mm on Monday with King Lows (currently has SLs which are too low for me - thanks @RevNev for the feedback there).

Thanks guys

i would not be happy with that, i have a DPE walkinshaw system fitted along with long tube headers and is tucked right up into the trans tunnel, yours sits lower than it should, i would say your long tube headers are the problem, where the cat back bolts up its too low, header outlet should be tucked up higher, cops in victoria will defect your car for that,

Lol I think this is my smoking gun

Looks like a rubbish install job

This is the install tutorial on YouTube of basically the same system from Xforce (same headers installed into a 7 series catback) clearly showing the cats for example hang at most maybe 10mm below the rails

My whole system is probably 40mm below the rails it's not remotely close to what is shown here (blue arrows last pic),

My 3" sits pretty much same as yours (except I've got a middle muffler)

They fit up pretty well, but it also depends on the header set up.

It's not good and if the exhaust can't be mounted correctly, the shop shouldn't have fitted it.

The shop fitting it needs to modify the exhaust to accommodate the header variance and make another couple of hundred dollars!

Yeah they make some money these days, don't they.
I wanted to have the x pipe removed and replaced with a h pipe. The shop near me wanted $700 with me supplying the h pipe. Didn't happen.
