Very impressed with your dismantling and cleaning. Way beyond my enthusiasm.
Mine looks clean, but there is a bucket of red dust hiding in the private parts that you have exposed on yours.
Did you get the plastic storage trays which are supposed to be under the back seat ? Somebody has the ones from mine, and I can't find any spares.

Don't know if you have had time to follow Carsales, but I think this may be what you were initially looking for ......

No plastic storage trays. :(
My other Crewman has no storage trays either.

No plastic storage trays. :( My other Crewman has no storage trays either.

I remember seeing them under the rear seat, either at the Sydney Motor Show or local dealer when they were first released, and thinking 'handy idea', but they have disappeared with the mists of time. An original owner may know about them.

Have a bit of sanding to do in there on some rust spots.

Got the bumper support ready with the wire wheel on the grinder. Ready for painting now.

Picked up the new insulator panel for under the bonnet. Was damaged :(
Back to Holden tomorrow.

Cleaned up the SAAB cup holders. Got years of spilled coffee out and put some new foam on them. Came up like new.

For what ever reason, the back of the hazard switch was clogged with black greasy grot. Weird.

All good now.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.
Broke the AC button. All fixed now.

Oh, incase someone wants to change the bezel around the main trim, it’s melted on. Not screwed.

The rear vents don’t have very good seals. Lots of air leaks out under the trims. The duct out the bottom of the HVAC has no seal. So I grabbed some I had and this will work.

The other ducts got some actual seals and the back should get a better flow now.

Spent the day at the hospital today but did get the other headlight cleaned up and the internal panel gaps missed in manufacture sealed up.

Local Holden Parts guy and all round legend has got a print out of the build sheet for this car. Very cool document.

Says what date and time various stages of its production build were completed. Time and date of shipment, and to where. Booran Holden. Has the date delivered to Booran Holden and the date it was first sold. 10th Jan 06.

Has a full service history.

Has all its codes etc. Trim levels. Goes on and on.

Tomorrow, the plan is to do some Ranex rust converter on stuff. Most of that is in hidden places. Just little spots.

Got lots of black cold galv from Supercrap for various spots.

Weather is a bit average so painting wiper arms might not happen. Don’t want it to go white in the low temp and humidity.
Planning to paint the plastic wiper trim too. That sht is awful to look at. Never looks nice. Some Satin black should class it up a little.

I have high grade macros suede to do the other trims. Might need to be at a later date for those though. :(

Hope things are all OK with the hospital trip.

What dealership did you get the build info from ?
