well i thought that all the above people are, buy telling him its illegal i have heard u can get really big fine for empty cats and no cats, can anyone confirm that?

i done it on my old vl lasted a week then i put it back on was really droney used heaps more fuel, but there was a bigger kick back, but i don't recommend doing it, but its up to u

Good chance you'll get a fine.

If the car came out of the factory with a Cat on it, then it needs to have a working cat on it.

That's the law.

If it was an earlier car, then it's it optional to have a cat installed

Firstly, the exhaust shop that suggested this and said it compares to fitting extractors needs their arse kicked. Not only is it illegal as has already been mentioned, but removing a cat does NOT have about the same increase as extractors. They obviously should go back to fitting tyres or what ever it was they were doing before they decided to start fitting exhausts.

There you go, from the mouth of someone who deals with exhausts

VN V6, nothing special
LMAO wtf, it will give you jack **** gain(if any) let alone as much as extractors, the factory cats flow fairly good, so you should be fine with your stock v6 :)....

I wouldn't remove it, not worth the time or money.... but removing it is good for throwing flames out of thee ass end LMAO

ya might see a massive 2-3kw gain at the expense of a $2000 fine. Unless you had some F.I. on the go, the stock cat (s) handle perfect.

Nothing
I'd much rather go that .05 seconds slower and do it in comfort :D

I think it's about a 2,500 - 3000 dollar fine for missing cat.
