Why even have brakes?
They only slow you down.
Less Brakes, Less Friction, Less Going Slow.
Clearly you can get places Faster....

*Please note, this is only Sarcasm.
Also there is a Brand in Cycling called "FSA" or "Full Speed Ahead" which Ironically make Brakes....
Depends on the model. Some would say stock Gen II brakes won't actually slow you down. :D

Early Commodores had anti-lock brakes as standard, unless you used both feet on the brake pedal... ;)

What about painting them red or yellow? I heard that helped them work a lot better.

1969 Bathurst 500 ......... one of the Geoghegan brothers apparently complained that the GTHO's brakes would not stop the car at the end of Mountain Straight.
Allan Moffat's comments were that the brakes were not intended to stop the car, just slow it down for the corner.
Classic Moffat. :D

HRs and HKs had power drums as an option. The brake pedal was an On /Off switch to stop the front wheels from rotating.
I had a Torana like that. Hitting the brakes too hard activated the rotate function. It rotated the whole car clockwise until stopping perfectly sideways. I think this feature must have been designed to reduce the length of traffic jams...

If you believe Toyota, they have a car that they encourage you to brake for it to regenerate.:)

Anyone else noticed the forum has been a bit quiet over the last few days? I wonder if people are away?
