Has this thread turned into a 'service register' or something?

I did my oil change 330 KMs ago, I used a genuine GM filter plus ELF 10W-50 Fully Synthetic oil.
I do feel the difference... but time will tell.

146 000, so I will change this oil at about... 153.

Good thread, oil change is easy.

Why 8 thousand instead of 10 thousand?
Whats your reasoning there?
Just for trivial purposes, 99% of the time, the oil doesnt 'wear out', it simply gets dirty....if the filtration was better, you could run the same oil ten times over.

Park over the gutter,
wrong way round if you have to.
I mean along the Gutter,
just jump the Kerb side wheels onto the Kerb.

That will get you out of trouble, but you wont get all the oil out doing it that way. Buy a set of stands and use a jack.

flat ground. and jack up the front to get under if your bar is low like mine, very low.

then get out, let it down and leave it for 20 mins, then lift it up to get under... you don't need a hoist or ramps.

But you shouldnt get under a car only supported by a jack, either. Use chassis stands. takes an extra 3 minutes, but i'd rather that than end in hospital.
