It's interesting....

For someone interested if free speech he's sure doing his damnedest trying to shut these guys down. I guess only his "free speech" matters. Ironic.

It’s always those that scream the loudest about free speech that try and shut down anyone who doesn’t agree with them.

One of our RWNJ’s in parliament, Alex Antic pulled exactly the same shite when quizzed by the media. Threatened to get out the lawyer attack dogs.

In response to a series of questions, Antic – a vocal defender of freedom of speech – replied: “Who cares?”
“Suffice to say that whatever you write will be heavily scrutinised by my lawyers. Just so you are aware,” he said.

The GOP seems to be pretty well aligned with your lord and saviour Donald Trump.
So why can't they agree on anything? Like getting the necessary votes to impeach Mayorkas or corpse.
If you don't read the paper you are uninformed. If you do read the paper you are misinformed. Mark Twain. So true.
Fortunately, free speech gives us several choices of print or broadcast media that aren't all pushing the same narratives.
And Trump/X are Democracy's saviours?

LOL
Just to name a few.

Speaking the truth is now being criminalized.
Mean tweets got a president blocked. What's next?...

Free speech means everyone gets a fair crack, not just your chosen few. X is a profit making entity and profit is what Musk seeks above all else, truth, yeah well, it's what you make it and there is plenty of conspiracy crap on X so it's no better or worse than any other news source but it's certainly not the gold standard, far from it.

As a content platform owner Musk has some sort of responsibility to make sure lies are not perpetuated as the truth and Musk has shown no interest in doing so. It's not censorship when they are lies pushing a narrative. Should we allow the Russians or the Chinese to push lies to influence our elections?

So you can sit on your perch and sing like a canary but don't think you are the pillar of truth or freedom of speech.

Free speech doesn't mean it can't be scrutinised.
