um... i think they may have been telling you porkie pies mate.

i have heard of aami refusing to insure a mate that got hit by another car. totally not his fault but was driving a tt supra on his p's. i reiterate even though he was not at fault, they still wouldnt cover him because he was driving a car over his power to weight.

Yeah i agree with you, they wont do it; I already figured that. They shouldn't be able to say it though.

just apply for exemption to drive the car, if its a family car, and its in your folks name you should be able to get it

A mate of mine wrote off his ba xr6 turbo all on his own straight into a tree and his insurance paid him out no questions asked. He was on his P plates and in vic we arent allowed to drive any high powered vehicles at all.
Like i said earlier it can happen
