I'm not sure if anyone has suggested this already (i only bothered to read the first page)

SEEK ? Great Australian Pay Check Reports ? salary & benefits for your industry & job

Its great for seeing the min/avg/max pay for jobs. It helps if people work with the system though. Can be distorted. Check the number of people included in it to get a feel for it.

Mining is a good sector to be in. No matter what the trade.

Me personally. Im 56k a year as an IT guy with a half completed degree.

$27-ish/hr, 55-80 hours/week depending on the weather, and double-time after 10 hours.
Downside being that it only lasts 3 months, and does depend on the weather, so im sitting on $0/day until it stops raining.
I did manage a 93 hour week a couple years ago though

:bomb:Where and what is that? What does your job involve?

Any grain growing area. I'm in the Wimmera, hopefully only in Nhill this season.
It can be anything from testing grain, weighing trucks, unloading trucks, preparing bunkers, sweeping grain etc. For some jobs you would need to do training courses that take a day or 2 but its nothing too difficult. Just long hours in the heat of summer.
Our site only takes in wheat, barley and canola so its not so bad

most seasonal work is a good way to earn cash, in 06-07 i worked in cotton gins around NW NSW for the season. 12hour days, 7 on 1 off. taking home $11-1300 a week. 06 season ran from easter to august, at the end of it i had enough to get a very tidy VRSS plus some change left over for mods
