I've had my share of Commodores, a lifted 89 Hilux...

My next car will be coming hopefully Wednesday or Thursday, 2011 Ford Falcon XR6 6 speed manual... The turbo was tempting but 210kw is enough for me.

dont you hate it when you do find the exact car you want... however you know you cannot drive it for about 3 more years legally.
if i had the $'s this would be sitting in my driveway right now.
but yeah i would change it to blue (and probably the wheels) as i said before

In the event my VE ssv gets written off or stolen, Im thinking of buying an 02 era monaro, the oldest one I can find, V6 if necessary, and tearing the engine out, and installing 7 litres of LS7 goodness in it :)

Well thought I would add my two cents to this thread.

Now that I'm engaged, with the view to starting a family and "settling down" on the horizon, I have shifted priorities.

Safety
Comfort
Luxury
Space
...and still able to at least pull the skin off a custard. Read: able to comfortably overtake.

I potentially need enough space for a family of four plus two great danes. With that in the back of my mind, I spent last Saturday with my Dad who's looking for a new car (and has since ordered one and picking it up next Monday.

The car of choice was the new Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (diesel). Nothing else even comes close. The list of inclusions in the Aussie model is very impressive. The Prado has a lot less for a lot more money. And like the Prado, the Patrol, the Pajero and the Pathfinder are so dated they'd be better suited to 5 years ago!

It's now top of my shopping list too...

2015 Subaru Forester, XR6 turbo ute.
Make sure you dont spend all your money on a wedding, you will need it to keep the Jeep going.
Over rated puss box IMHO. Forget dated, the Pajero will kick its ass.
