The mate has also been fixing the common rust area around the back window, instead of buying after market panels which never line up he is doing the old school way with great results.. moving forward.

I can’t tell looking at the pics on my iPad but are you using bog or lead wiping? I always preferred lead wiping to bog.

The area where the spare tyre was was rusted out, All fixed ,he made it flat, rust is gone.

Am I seeing right, where the spare wheel well has a flat plate from the boot floor? If so, where are you going to keep your spare?

Or if the bottom of the spare wheel well is flattened out, the spare will sit up too much, allowing it to hit the bootlid hinge...

Might be wise to put your spare in there to check for clearances
