Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
Heh … my favourite spot at the local shopping-centre isn’t quite as wide as that, but there’s a non-spot next to it, I came back to the car one day to find a dual-cab in the non-spot so now I park over the top of the line so I’m half in the spot & half in the non-spot … you’d need a kei car to park either side of me still within the half-spots, and if parking within the spot next to me you’d need to fit 3m long doors to your SUV so your kids could fling them open into the Commodore …How wide is that car parking bay?
That's a strategic placement at the quieter end of the carpark and straddling the line, only one car can fit between mine and the entry island. How wide is that car parking bay?
A couple of weeks ago, I parked at Bunnings out my lonesome about 4 rows clear of other cars. I came out to find an old Toyota Landcruiser parked right next to me with kids getting out the LHS with the open doors about an inch off my wagon. I was sadly provoked to be a bit rude to this bloke, like seriously mate, unbelievable, a third of the carpark was empty!Heh … my favourite spot at the local shopping-centre isn’t quite as wide as that, but there’s a non-spot next to it, I came back to the car one day to find a dual-cab in the non-spot so now I park over the top of the line so I’m half in the spot & half in the non-spot … you’d need a kei car to park either side of me still within the half-spots, and if parking within the spot next to me you’d need to fit 3m long doors to your SUV so your kids could fling them open into the Commodore …

I got a carpark dent in the RHR door of my VR GTS late '94 when the car was 3 weeks old. Parked on it's lonesome, I saw a Falcon wagon reversing out from the bay alongside me and drive off before I saw the dent. Paintless dent removal wasn't a thing back then and took 5 paint jobs and 3 panel shops over 6 months to match the colour edge to edge with a mint paint job.I’m amazed at how often it happens. I often park in the outreaches of the carparks with heaps of empty carparks. Then I come back and another car has parked in an adjacent space.
I have a suspection it’s just the human need to be in a tribe or group … back in my surfing days it was the same, eff me dude there’re like 10 empty breaks on the beach why’d you need to come & crowd mine?!I’m amazed at how often it happens. Maybe it’s a ‘safely in numbers’ thing or something? Who knows, but I do know they could have parked in an awful lot of spots, but they choose the one beside the lonely car.
...but more importantly was the image of what a great looking car the VF Commodore is today across the range from sedan, wagon and ute, they still in my eyes look brilliant!
I Can't do the G Series M3/M4 grill, BMW are off their heads with that look! Are you saying that a 6 year old VF Wagon is better than something like a modern day 2023 BMW M3 Wagon?
