Remove all stickers, inside and out, drive sensibly and you will be fine, you'll still get pulled over, but typically just a ID check and booze and drug check
Most importantly, be polite to the police, turn your music off, say g'day and smile, don't even think about mouthing off or arguing
I was a heatseeker when I was young and on my P plates, early 80's, I lost my licence twice, and lost a job because I didn't have a licence
Lucky for me a police officer gave me a clip over my head, told me where I was going wrong, and to adjust my attitude, I listened
Since then I have always had heavily modified cars and bikes, but, from looking at them, they didn't really stick out
If you want to go fast, buy something and build it for the drags or circuit racing
Use the Commodore as nice clean daily, and possibly a tow rig for the next few years
Building a race car is money better spent than paying fines, or riding public transport because you lost your licence
Where do you want to be in 10 years?, start heading there legally
