Me either, I've never owned an economical car!
A pet hate of mine is people modifying V8's for horsepower then winging about them "chewing the juice".
Around town my Redline ute sits around 12.6 litres per 100km's I've noticed on the dash. The SV6 is better around the mid to high 9's.
I totally agree, I've never owed anything that I'd call an economical car.
I only recently realised the Ute has one of those fuel usage trip type meters built in.
I accidently touched something on the right side stalk behind the steering wheel and changed my normal digital speedo display.
When I got home I needed to get the owner's manual out to see how to retrieve it and that's when I saw there were other things on offer other than just a steering wheel, blinker indicator, a gear shifter and some pedals.
I had my old C63 for 5 years before I was caught in the rain with it, I had to pull over to the side of the road and look behind the steering wheel to figure out which one of the 3 stalks operated the wipers, I now have them in auto mode.
I love technology, I just never bother to use it.
