Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
my friend had the same problem in a VS
it was that bad the starter stayed engauged (new starter new batt but prob still remained)
i had to turn the motor by hand to free the starter, and then it would start.
he has the problem fixed so i will ask him what it was.
Bridge terminals 5&6 on the diagnostic connector, turn ignition on and count the flashes of the warning light. It will start with 12 three times. Fist flash (tens) then a short pause and 2 flashes (units). Then it will move on to any other logged codes, it will repeat each code three times. Remember, first lot of flashes are tens and the second lot are single units. Example: 4 flashes, pause, 2 flashes = 42. When it does code 12 again, it has completed the cycle.
Top row, counting left to right, including the empty ones. If you look really close, I think they are numbered.there are 4 terminals on top and 3 on bottom, which are 5&6?
