yeah not sure what happened with the link. I installed the first prototype in my ute 3 years ago and hasn't missed a beat. i love it and use it every time it rains. I never did get boards made to resell this project. not sure about the demand.
i didn't get it to work exactly as i hoped, but i did get it to work.. i had had this listing on eBay now for a few months.

as a matter of interest. I picked up a diagnostic cable from envyous customs. The oil gauge reads 100% accurate to the OEM LS1 oil pressure reading from the ECU.
So i brought a second SS cluster with green LEDs and the same instrument dials that are in my cluster. I swapped the dials so they match the fuel and temp dial. I also swapped the white LEDs out for Green ones to match.
finally happy with everything. oil pressure gauge working and reading...
It’s funny you know... people who have a genuine (or non genuine) copy of these disc, seem to think they have the holy grail and are very reluctant to hand it over/share...
I too mannaged to unlock the full version of this disk. The one I unlocked was the “master” version. Covering everything...
I started with the SAAS oil sender that was in my car when i got it... then switched to a VDO analogue sender.. then finally settled on a 3 wire electronic transducer sender...
transducer is the way to go, cheaper, no electrical noise interference which is what i was having problems with the...
ok people... I officially did it...
I have now developed a mod chip for the VZ binnacle gauges which is completely contained inside of the original housing.
The mod chip takes control of the Oil gauge and over writes the signal coming from the serial bus. (this makes the oil gauge no longer...
well. for anyone following along at home....
Although I did have my gauge working... it was working fine on the bench under test conditions, but too much noise present in the car and the gauge is unstable. some would say better then nothing, but its not good enough for me, and not good enough...
well, long time no update. sorry about that.
but. I did find sometime tonight to play with my prototype parts that i ordered over 12months ago...
i got the gauge working. not quite as i originally thought. but it works. it requires a (almost) non reversible mod to the original gauge circuit...
yeah mate only two wires. just make sure the airbag fuse is removed before touching the general area. thats all..
if you get the steering wheel controls from a series 2 or a vz they light up. as long as there is enough wires in the clock spring you buy
I attached a diagram for you. shows the three sections you need.
steering wheel, radio and plug
the plug behind the radio you need to tap into pins C11 and C12
