what speakers do you have. ive heard of pioneer fitting in no issues alpine not so well have you looked into spacers

if you really wonted to amp the rears and were looking at buying another amp i would look at a 5 channel amp but it depends on the loc you are using the loc i got had both a 4 channel and a mono running off of it seperatly

there is a few options the two easiest ones are buying a iq unit with nav or alpine now do a starter option with nav for about 1800 from memory not to sure if you can add nav to your existing unit Tas will now for sure

if you are concerned about ride height wouldn't a coilover set up be better

using a LOC (line out converter) will give you a very similar if not the same result as modding your IQ for a cheaper price i had a LOC in my car before i changed everything and it did the job

if you are talking about a VE the interior light will only come on with the doors if the headlights are on unless you turn them on manually

i got a email from alpine a while ago about a release of more options for the VE the 8 inch a 7 inch and a 6. something inch. From memory it started from the same price and as far as im concerned the HVAC unit in the ebay one is just as bad as the first generation alpine one which was terrible

The type r are a mid and hi range speaker to get the best sound you need a sub to get the low end mist people just pump the bass on the headunit to get low out if them but its just distorted crap

Just as long as you realize that no matter what amp you get you will have no low end (bass) it will sound better but will only have mid and hi

I have the same car all I did was put a straight through lukey rear muffler on it gave me just enough noise when I wanted it you should be able to do that for the same price as the other

id install it first and see if you need more bass that is an option but i dont think you will need to

forget about 6x9s a good set of splits in the front and Coaxial in the rear doors will be fine, even if you just run the splits in the front the rear speakers are just for fill and a lot of people dont use them. I had the type R subs and speakers and was very happy

that looks like the IQ headunit i thought you were able to plug a camera into that unit if Tasmaniak reads this he will know more than me and may be able to help you

I would say they made to many to be a future collector's car but as said in 20 or more years with very low ks maybe worth somthing

if you decide to get the omega at least look at the 60th anniversary one it has the upgraded interior

by that i mean if you get a v6 you will regret it i think the v8 is better in many ways. Unless you are like me and have 3 vehicles to rego and insure and don't wont a $4000 a year bill

imo the only reason to go for the v6 is rego and insurance. i got a v6 as i didnt wont to pay 4 cyl rego, moto rego, v8 rego if its your only car and rego isnt an issue than there is no point in thinking about the v6
