Shocks wear out, I'm cool with that. Being lowered will add more forces through the system. The strut top had me more surprised to be perfectly honest. Especially being just one side not both

Not a problem

Just over 61,000km . Heaviest load has been a 6x4 trailer with 2 kayaks on it. It has been lowered a little, but not slammed.

Turns out it was the strut top....wasn't visible until they pressed it out.

Not 100% sure to be honest. Are they known to go?

Drain manually. The bottom half unscrews, that's where the oil ends up.

I have an Elite Engineering one on mine, the guy I bought it from had bought it from the US but never fitted it, so I fitted it when I gor it home. Looks good, catches oil. Not much else to it really.

Yeah lowered. Not sure how far, previous owner had the springs put in. They're Pedders ones, that's about all I can tell you!

I have a standard exhaust on my sv6 wagon, but it has an Elite Engineering CAI, and the sound on full noise is pretty awesome. But having stock exhaust/mufflers keeps it quiet when cruising, and does t have that drone that alot of bent 6's end up with

How old the plugs and leads? You can test the coils...take one off at a time and measure resistance across the contacts...two on top where the leads plug on and two underneath where it sits on the DFI module. Or alternatively get hold of a known working coil and swap it out one at a time...

CHLVTVXA CHVTVXA Make sure you get the top listed one, otherwise the steering wheel controls won't work. As has been said, with the plug and play harnesses and fitting kit, it's very straight forward

Think about getting a transcooler if you're car doesn't have one.

Hey all I am needing a new coil for my L67 Calais....not sure which one so I am going to replace all three. Got a price from Repco for $54 each. It's a price I can deal with. I then called Autobarn, and they can get the same ones as Repco, or alternatively get Top Gun ones for $30 each...

Most braking is done by the front brakes....i'd be checking front calipers, particularly the left, for good operation. And obviously pads and discs too. I would also bleed the whole system if you didn't bleed the whole system before.

Quick question guys...i read that the VT relies on 2 characters for a fault code, and vx is 4. Is there a difference between vx s1 and s2? I have an s1, and reading codes doesn't give the 10 flashes for a zero as required.

Not using any coolant. I'll give the maf a clean today. Its due for an oil change, i'll do the fuel filter then. Just checked the battery....12.5v after sitting overnight. I'll be measuring the current draw today i reckon. I might be chasing nothing now, but i guess it's still good to know

I had the idle/startup issue before i changed the battery. It's been crap for about 2 months now i reckon. Fingers crossed the volts are good tomorrow. Thanks again

Cheers guys. I got to play around a bit after work today. With the car idling, the voltage across the battery was 14.1v. I then cranked the a/c with fan speed on full and put the highbeams on, volts dropped to about 13.6-13.7v, so still not bad. I guess that rules out a dodgy regulator. I...
