Have you considered buying a AU made RHD Motorsport Edition? It's basically a Chevvy SS but with extra stuff and newer software (and its more special in many ways).

It was interesting reading this thread again. Few comments saying MSEs would be $55k in a year.. 4 years later and my well used MSE with 25k kms is insured for $90k agreed value. I've had a blast in my car and still think it's amazing value vs a much more expensive HSV.

Are the RE003 even available any more? An online search via my rego on the Bridgestone website shows the S007A are recommended and RE003 do not come up as available at all. Assume RE003 have been superseded? Does anyone have any real world experience with S007A? A quick search of online...

A detail and ceramic coating really helps the red pop. My MSE is coming up to 3 years old and still looks as good as the day I picked it up from the detailer. I have a 3 inch DPE system on my MSE and the bi-modal makes a huge difference. The car goes from properly grunty and loud to very quiet. As others have said the OP's must have been broken or not installed correctly.

This is really interesting. Which track? I've tracked my MSE at Philip Island 5 times and never once experienced fade pushing hard for 7-9 laps. Seems the brake upgrade and track certification is legit, although Philip Island isn't too hard on brakes. With that said, I've seen more expensive...

Agree, but the MSE is hardly a sleeper! When I first saw the car the stickers made me eww out loud but its grown on me.

As much as I'm tempted to supercharge it, I love the naturally aspirated V8 and my car number is 385 - I always planned to get the 385kw upgrade and stop there. I will need new brakes and a third set of tyres soon after 5 track days so that won't be cheap!
