I just got an aftermarket steering wheel for my vr and I just can't get the horn to work because there is a big gap between the contact on the wheel and the tab thing on the column I can also wobble the steering wheel up and down a bit,I don't think it's going on all the way but I don't know...

Yea I'm happy,it's lucky I keep getting pulled over by the same cop who is pretty cool otherwise I could of been fined or defected who knows,I'm wandering what the next dodgy thing I find is,I've fixed so many dodgy things done by the previous owner,it's had probly $2000 into it in the last 2...

I ended up fixing the problem,turns out there was 3wires broken on the right side where it joins the main loom,the dumba** previous ownerhas cut the wires for some reason,anyway all is working now

How do u test globes,I bought two sets of normal 12v 5w bulbs and all don't work I've checked all the wiring in the boot and all seems well,is there a fuse or relay that controls it?,I've tried the bulbs both ways with no luck

Could the bulbs I'm using be the wrong wattage? Can they still light up if the bulb has the wrong watts?

I've got a vr so could be different,but I had the same issue with hard starting and wierd idle and it ended up being my fuel pressure regulator,runs like a dream now and it has 330k on it

just took the boot garnish off and all the wiring looks fine,unfortunately I don't have access to a test light

My tail lights do work,I'll see if I can figure it out,if there's a broken wire is it ok to re attach it or will I need to find a new wire?

Its a 94 vr,my problem is on the sight there are options for vr(early) and vr (late) and I'm just not sure I've mine is an early or late model vr

I found the performance memcal on the mace websight I'm just not sure of what option to chose there is vr (early),and vr (late),how do I figure out if my vr is a early or late model? And do these memcals provide a decent difference to how it runs

Put a 2 1/2 inch supercat exhaust on my vr,sounds decent without being too loud and definitely goes better

My number plate lights won't work I've tried led globes off ebay and also new stock ones with no luck,could it be a blown fuse,what fuse runs the number plate lights Tia

I noticed my number plate lights were out,so i bought a couple of t10 led's off ebay and it still doesnt work,i need to get it fixed as ice veen pulled over twice

My vr wasnt starting easy id have to pump the throttle to get it to start,changing the fuel pressure regulator fixed it,now it starts first pop

Its a sedan and the exhaust goes over the diff so its live axle,thanks for the help

Im going to be getting an exhaust for my vr and i was wandering how i can tell if its a solid axle or irs its a 94 model

Installed muffler mounts,put on a shorter belt to get rid of the ac compressor whine the car is so quiet now u can hardly hear it at all

no towbar so i guess itl be easy,just waiting on the rubbers to turn up

my vr's rear muffler is only held up by wire and i have the mounts on the way im just wandering how it mounts up and which rubber to use,if anyone could take a picture id appreciate it

Changed water pump to a new gmb one, old one was pretty knackered and wasnt sealing

swapped fuel pressure regulators in my vr and it now starts without needing help,something has happened to the fuel system before i owned it because the fpr,fuel filter and injectors have been replaced and were really filthy

I was just wandering if anyone knows if a fuel pressure regulator off a vs will fit on a vr,I think mine is gone and I have access to a vs one

Does anybody know where I can source the water pump bolts for a vr commodore,I've tried the wreckers in my town but they can't help unfortunately

Yea the fuel filter helped but the new injectors fixed it

It definitely helped but what helped it more was a brand new set of injectors,only took 30 minutes to swap out

Changed the 300000klm old fuel filter,the fuel coming out of it was pure black I couldn't believe it

Sometimes it'll die but Itl idle most of the time,there's also times when it will almost die then come back to regular idle

Did a bit on my vr,fixed the negative battery terminal because it was almost cut in half,swapped all 6 injectors for a spare set a mate had it got rid of the roughness on startup however it still won't start without pumping the throttle spark plugs and leads are new so I'm thinking the coil...
