What did you do to your VR/VS today?

Hoses and heater tap arrived today- got a $20 Off coupon for eBay so the whole thing was 80 bucks delivered, will get those in next weekend.

Had $70 credited to my Supercheap account cause some stuff went on sale after I bought it, used that to buy some coolant, a decent set of crimps and a small toolbox so I can upgrade from a bag of electrical bits to a reasonably well stocked toolbox.

12mm Plenum spacer from Mace ordered this week, pretty keen to get that in as well

Last Wednesday, new pads all round, new rear discs. Flushed fluid. Didn't strip the caliper, because I work on the principle"If it ain't F#@ked, dont fix it!". Lubricated teh caaliper sliders. The outside LHS rear had worn to metal. Wifey couldn't hear it over the music! Caliper pins were stuck. Seems to have a bit better fuel consumption, not having to drag a pad. Today did O2 sensors.Drivers side was rich. Was getting random Engine light, but no error code. See how fule goes on a trip to Atherton (160k return) tomorrow. Replaced drivers side door lock. Had been putting it off because I thought the rods to the locking mechanism had to come off. They don't. Wind up window, slide the clip on the handle to teh front and carefully jiggle out the bottom of the handle. Unhook the rod. I had a spare door and practiced on it. Took an hour at my output.

Fuel consumption definitely improved. 330k on a bit over half a tank.

Today, replaced battery and fixed 2 bulbs.
New tyres coming this week as well hopefully.

Replaced harmonic balancer and crank shaft seal while the HB was off. Replaced it with a Repco (Powerbond HB1434N. I got confused because a page on the Repcotrade says that the VS is H1237N. After a chat with the Repco boss in Atherton, it seems that the H1237n was superceded by the HB1434N. New on is 3,706 gr and old one 3,528 gr. (not allowing for the broken off bits!). Seems to run smoother on the short run I had. The vibration around 2000 rpm seems gone. I will know when I go to Ravenshoe tomorrow. This noise came on in the space of a day. Repco calls it HB Season, as the old dry ones crack up in the heat under the strain of air-cons and steering etc. Recommendation is 100,000k, says this site, somewhere!

at least 5 years since i last change them losh and not just rubber its the whole part that clips on to the arm.. cheaper than ve/f
