'spose while I am here, should update this too! Got the Grange wheels sorted - completely restored and repainted, they do look good. Rear sandwich plate on the rear of the motor let go - meant gearbox out, strip the plate, new gasket, new rear main while I was there, and all was good again...

Bolted the standard wheels back on it the other day, much happier now. Clutch master cylinder has crapped out, so need to replace that now also... the list of items to do for rego is getting shorter!

New bonnet and bootlid fitted today - been sitting in the garage for ages, just didn't have the motivation to fit them. VS Calais Rear Seat is out, was ROOTED - fitted a VS Acclaim rear seat for now, nice and clean :D Replaced all the door cards with VS Acclaim Items - not a mark on them :)...

OK! Haven't updated this in quite some time. New wheels - VE SV6 18" Rims, bore honed out and tyres to suit. Using Ford Focus wheel nuts (larger acorn). VR Calais seats installed - picked them up for next to nothing as the back-part of the rear seat was missing. Level 3 Dash Cluster...

Few major updates... 1) LPG is now GONE. All that is left of the system is a brass line still bolted under the car but cut at the transmission tunnel and at the diff, the filler cap and the little LPG tags on the rego plates :) During the removal of the LPG, we worked out why it was using...

Looking really good mate - if it was in WA, I'd be keen to buy it off you and register it as my daily! Have always had a soft spot for VN Calais', and this is one tidy unit :)

With the rears, undo the bottom shock bolt, usually easier than attempting the top bolt. I found that it's easier to jack the bottom of the shock ever so slightly (makes it a little easier to undo), and to also have a friend stand with their foot on the rotor applying a little downward pressure...

I knew VP-VR was different (well, VN and VR), as the VN has the ball joint at the bottom of the shock. Getting a set of VX2 FE2 struts in the next few days, going to whack them and a full set of Kings SL's into the VR and see if it makes it a much nicer car to drive.

Also, IRS rear springs between the VR and the VT are the same too yeah? Pretty sure they are...

Doubt it'll be ready for MV next year, possibly the year after that, see how I go :) All I will say is that the idea in mind has been pulled off on a VZ SS, thou the wheels on it were disgusting!

Yeah goes well, she's a bit more banged up since these pics were taken as the car had to be used as a daily for a while, got a few shopping trolley dents and other scratches in it which is a shame. Never-the-less, there are plans for it :D Plans which I will keep a secret ;)
