[NSW] Danja's clearout - various items (mostly VT-VZ parts)

Thanks Haydz, I'll keep it in mind, though to be honest $100 is lower than I'm willing to go at this time.

[NSW] Danja's clearout - various items (mostly VT-VZ parts)

Together they tally in at 19kg (should just scrape in under the limit of what Auspost will accept), and the boxes together are approx 30x30x20cm. Looking at about $26 to Brisbane or thereabouts according to their website. Willing to call it a round total of $150 if that helps seal the deal.

VicPol to crack down on people driving with their fog lights on

Real mature attitude you got there  Yet again you stoop to lame, baseless personal attacks. Gold. Hope you're proud of yourself.

VicPol to crack down on people driving with their fog lights on

I don't stare directly into oncoming lights, yet I still get affected by glare from fog lights. Perhaps my eyes are more photosensitive than others, perhaps there is less ambient light where I drive, or perhaps its like flares in photography where you don't have to be pointing your camera at...

VicPol to crack down on people driving with their fog lights on

The thing is thought, headlights are much more directional, even though they may be brighter, they aren't casting as much light into the eyes of oncoming drivers.

VicPol to crack down on people driving with their fog lights on

Lights on cars in general have been getting brighter over the years, foggies on at night can give off quite a bit of glare, I notice it particularly when I'm riding the bike when someone is driving towards you with headlights on and foggies, it makes the road ahead harder to see, especially when...

    Gearbox clunk noise

^^ I'm with him :p Seriously, if my gearbox was at the point where a whole gear was missing, I wouldn't be asking any deep questions about it's performance, I'd just get a new one on there ASAP!

Tips to make commodore more dirtbike towing worthy?

I seem to recall hearing the country pack came with a sump protector, and it's possible the one that came stock on VZ's (and possibly VY?) might bolt straight onto a VT. Also there is the stock country pack suspension to consider, it's not stupidly high, but gives you a bit more room to play with.

    lowered - exhaust fscked

That's fine, I'm just pointing it out. If he doesn't want to raise it, the only real option is adjust how and/or where you drive so it doesn't scrape! I'm sure there's a how-to on a Supra forum for driving sideways over speed bumps ;)

    lowered - exhaust fscked

Can't say I've ever seen an aftermarket exhaust with MORE ground clearance than stock, usually the stock system runs about as close to the underbody as you can get. If you're scraping your stock exhaust you need to raise your car, which if it's that low will bring you other benefits like better...

Nah, it's the hero/wannabe Ken Block WRX drivers people should be worried about, Corolla drivers ain't hurting nobody.

    Apples war on Everything

They ain't in it for the love, they're in it for the money. Sure it can seem petty, but this is how companies protect their competitive edge as far as possible. No matter what snide comments anyone has about Apple products, they are a huge commercial success because they managed to create a...

    Ute Clutch+ Parking

A bit of slip while you're parking is just the cost of doing business and nothing to worry about, just try and keep the revs down as low as you can (without stalling it obviously). The main reason slipping the clutch is bad is that all the friction from the clutch rubbing against the flywheel...

Italy moves to ban drivers 80+

I'd sooner see dick heads banned from driving than old people. Someone driving a little slow I can handle, it's people who tailgate, block people merging, drive recklessly, don't indicate etc etc who deserve a ban.

    Hero Killed Saving Family

I'd say you're both right - GovCo introduces the legislation. Magistrates interpret and apply it. Takes two to tango.

    P1 to P2 points

I realise you're in QLD, but speaking for how it works here in NSW, you accumulate demerit points for committing various offences (speeding, running red lights etc) and these offences are recorded as having happened on a particular date. Each offence is kept on your record for a period of 3...

Sth Aust drivers (P platers under 25) to be banned from driving high powered cars

So following your logic, we'd have more fatal accidents if everyone drove around at 40km/h because not only is speed not a factor in fatalities, but also because nobody would be paying attention? C'mon, surely you can see the fallacies here? Speed may increase concentration up to a point, but...

Sth Aust drivers (P platers under 25) to be banned from driving high powered cars

It would be nice if him saying it made it true, but if you actually look at the statistics, fatal crashes in the 18-25yo bracket have been trending downwards in the last few years since performance restrictions, while the number of people on the roads has only been increasing. How much of this...

Sth Aust drivers (P platers under 25) to be banned from driving high powered cars

That argument comes up a lot, and while there is a grain of truth to it, I don't think it really holds water. Can you kill yourself/cause damage in a low powered car? Surely you can, but in a high powered car, you can get from "I'm not really moving at all" to "Holy batshitman! I'm going fast!"...

Vicpol and Vic gov another cash grab?

Are there any other laws that shouldn't be enforced because clearly any attempt to make people abide by the law is a "cash grab" in your view? The law has been around for years, anyone who goes out of their way to get an illegal tint knows what they are getting into and only have themselves to...

Vicpol and Vic gov another cash grab?

Hmm... yeah you're right, now that I think about it retards don't deserve to get tarred with the same brush as people who whinge about speed cameras. Re budgets, of course cameras are revenue raising, and more power to them! The great thing about it though, its it's only raising revenue from...

What ****ing planet are you on? You do something you KNOW is against the law, then have a cry because you might get caught because of it?! **** me, and they let you people breed? Grow the **** up! It's like people complaining about speed cameras as revenue raising - yeah sure, it's a tax on the...

    injection cleaner

Wasn't really aimed at you, more at the OP. You'll get a bit of blow-by out the cylinder, so conceivably some of the product might end up with the oil, though if it was enough that 3 tanks would kill your oil I'd be worried!
  28. danja

    injection cleaner

It probably will destroy your oil if you pour it in the crankcase. However if you put it in the petrol tank like you're supposed to I'm sure everything will be fine :)

For the genuine option, you'd be looking at the switch itself, the sun sensor (middle of the front dash, may be there already), and possibly the BCM and wiring loom out of a model which supports it.

    New Financial Year - Payrise?

If your employer withholds PAYG instalments on your behalf (most do, it'll be on your payslip), then they should vary the amount withheld to reflect the new tax rate. If they don't, you should be able to ask your HR department to alter your PAYG withholding amount, or alternatively you'll get...

    SSV Manual Gearbox woes

To be honest I think the positive-stops "feature" of the Billet Shifter is a bit of a gimmick. The T56 has internal stops which work just fine, if you examine the factory shifter it has no stops whatsoever, yet you never hear of people "overshifting" the stock shifter. Sure, they don't do any...

    SSV Manual Gearbox woes

The shift gates are internal to the gearbox, not the shifter, so I'm not sure it would help in your case. After market shifters usually claim to optimise the 2-3 shift, but that's just by putting stronger springs in to help centre the lever so when you push it out of 2nd, you just need to keep...

    SSV Manual Gearbox woes

You could try a different gear oil, in the T56 (which I think is in the VE SS?) Castrol Transmax Z is one of the more frequently recommended fluids, and one I personally back (I used to have a VZ SS manual). The T56 box has never been "smooth" in operation, partly because its built like a brick...

Those Britex machines are awesome. If you get you're prepared and get one early in the day, you can do your house carpet/upholstery too. It's always amazing to see the colour of the water they suck back up, and how much cleaner everything looks when you're done.
