FWIW, I daily drive a car with a TCI 3800 Super Street Fighter stall for my V6 Firebird. I've got ported heads/intake pretty good camshaft setup and longtube headers. I get around 21-22mpg city driving only with my car. So efficiency isn't too bad even though when it is cold it takes a while...

Engine assembly is coming along well! I am beat. Working on pulling the k-member off and disassembly for almost 12 hours total yesterday. Need a place that I can set the tubular k-member on for assembly now... SLAMMED! <Pulled rear springs/struts for something different

Picked up a tubular K-member (engine cradle) with road racing reinforcement. Should lighten up the front end and also allow more room to work! Compared to the stock stamped steel k-member, this thing looks like a featherweight!

If you do a stall, I recommend adding a transmission fluid cooler. On most stock autos, the oem cooler is insufficient when you run a higher stall converter.

Well I had some work done to the heads, had .020 milled off, going with a .045 MLS gasket to bump compression to something more like 10:1 over the 9.3:1 of the stock setup. Looking forward to this getting finished, going to be picking up some other parts soon... Here's the progress that was...

New parts installed today, was really simple install only about 1.5 hours with some interruptions for finding tools and stuff. UMI Lower Control Arms, and Adjustable Panhard Bar:

You would need the upper and lower intake manifold, it is an Ecotec V6. You'd also need to get some of the sensors figured out, etc etc.

I'd say contact a shop and have a custom grind with a good lobe design developed for your intended build or desired outcome. You might pay a little more for a custom grind with some shops, but it can be worth it in the end.

There's a guy here in the states running 12.3's on a custom cam, but it is VERY agressive. It went 120 passes and busted off one of the stock valves, instant disappearing piston! His installed seat pressure on the valve spring is really high, so that's what caused the failure. He's in a stock...
