yes thats it, if you have noticed they sit in a bit that must be the way of them, the tailgate sits short of the body by about 5mm each side, or in my case 3mm on one side and 7 on the other due to the way its hanging from the hinges, I think where the hinges attach to the roof might need porta...

my 94 vr was the same when it was in power mode, felt to shift far to late, ecconomy mode was much smoother. It cant be to good for the tranny to be shifting like a race car every change !!..

Hello all, I have a problem with my pop's 97 vs caprice, this problem started as a simple flat battery but now the battery is fully charged again, the ignition is staying on regardless of key position, remote key wont open or close doors / boot - electric aerial is stuck up & all ignition lights...

If you get stuck somewhere on side of road try wraping a thin layer of clear tape (durex) around the key to build it up a bit. This works with vn's when the key is getting worn so i dont see why it wont work for vs if the key / barrel is worn. Just incase u get stuck !!

Definately does cause the engine light to come on but only in the period of the doors being opened (via remote) and then it goes out again once car is started.. had a couple do it to me.

i think it would be the memcal in the ecu fried, not the ecu as such. Not sure 1 of the 2 i just changed the whole pannel and it stopd flooding it & runs again but as i say it's a auto chip in the box at present and its just a fill in until i get another manual chip. thanks for your info that...
