Hey guys, bit of a thread dig but does this still work? I have a 2006 VZ SV6 and the battery went in my key head, I bought a new one off ebay and tried several ways to re code it but not the one you guys have suggested...

So what was the outcome ? Im looking at doing the same thing in my VZ but dont like the sound of taping into the rear speaker wires....

The other way is to find the 'paint color' thread I was so rudely abused for bringing back from the dark ages for, it has them all on there....

Sweet looking ride, but if I can make one comment, in the earlier pics of the dash getting painted you hadnt painted the stripe along the dash (in the pics it was black), I think it may have looked killer if this was painted the same colour as the car.... Just my oppinion... Car looks...

Well after hearing all this bout the CAS maybe I was told a lie bout the trans thing.... Will have to get my CAS changed and see if it fixes my problem too....

They are if their not bolted in, and if the cop thats going over the car is being picky or not....

Does your horn still work ? and is it an electrical zapp or deffinatley a hiss ?....

Aftermarket amps and portable sub boxes are illegal / defectable in some states (something bout an unsecured load), rather than getting rid of them us car modders put a switch in so while driving you can still have loud music but turn the amp off so theres no bass, not so noticeable to the boys...

Garnish looks good now... but I dont see what the problem is with color coded ones mine is and suits, I think.... and well done with the centre consle, looks killer....

Is there and electrical automatic gear selector switch / relay ? if so could be that, but I agree Im not a mechanic so I really can only tell what I have been told.... Unless your kickdown cable is streched (if they have them)....

Just jumping in... Now I know why speeds 1 and 2 dont work on my VN, I have changed the selector control unit three times with no success (and thought I was getting screwed by sellers on ebay) but now I know its not that.... thanks

Is it when under load in a higher gear ? My 91 Vn has the same problem up hill and when I only put my foot down a bit, and Ive been told the transmition doesnt know wather to change back a gear or not.....

I think most people are sub-conciosley commodore haters, how many commos do you see on the news smashed into a million pieces, it wasnt speed that killed the people in the car it was the drivers sudden realisation that he was driving a commodore and aimed for the nearest tree.... Yeah lets...

Dont the SS ones have the rear speaker covers and the air vents.... The execs dont.... I have the vent covers and the speaker covers if you wish to convert one....

Might want to look at updating this thread... Just a thought...
