I swear my ute hates me I’m trying to get my reverse lights to work on my vy ecotec manual ute (for yellow sticker) so tested switch it all works good and wiring looks tidy I then went back into town an the indicator fuse blew so replaced it an still no indicators an the fuse is still good too...

U have a vacuum leak or one of ur vacuum pipes from the throttle body has come off. My vy 5 spd ecotec done exactly the same thing it’d rev up as soon as u push clutch in but using the brakes slowed the engine down too

lolwell after a lot of stuffing around hubby finally got it but had to lift the engine up an drop the steering gear just to fit it in and had to push them up from underneath on the drivers side aswell as unbolt the engine mount too. lol no wonder they charge so much to put em in ggrrr

actually have no idea wat brand they r but each side splits in 2, I got one bit on but there's not enough room between the first pipe an the chassis on pass side to fit the second bit in plus the starter motor looks too close to them too

hi guys ,I was wondering if there is a size difference in the engine bay chassis rail between the v6 an v8? as I'm having trouble fitting a new set of extractors :-(

I thought they might have been able to remove the v6 image an put the V8 one on it. I'm still learning bout chips now

I actually swapped it for a irs diff, its a custom made one too. was just tryin to do things a bit cheaper an if I got one sittin round doin nuthin I thought why not use it. but had a feeling they'd lock them :-(

its got an alarm?immobiliser plus the security switch in the passenger side front door pillar near glovebox, I used the wiring harness that was with the V8, yeah it does crank over but nuthin. Congrats on ur 1000th post too

I think you best do a bit more reading on what you are doing specially on how much tranny fluid you need.:my: also when filling it up from dry you need an assistant to help run it through the gears while your filling it up (IYKWIM) other wise you wont get fluid up to the torque converter. and...

I've heard some of the V6'2 aren't any better than the V8's, I've got a 5lt an I get 500 k's a tank, and they're 82 litres too:D, If it were me I'd be putting it in the shed for 2 years doing it up then when you can drive it it'll be a thousand times better than it is now;):thumbsup:
