Hi guys, after some thoughts on what diff ratio to put in when I rebuild diff. Berlina sedan with LS1 is mafless has 315kw....so not standard. It currently has a 3.46 ratio lsd out of a VY Maloo but is on way out!. 3.46 is good off the line but I just wonder if there is one more suitable etc...

I also found when I did mine I had to do it up 3 times due to it coming very loose to the point it would leak oil......so Im thinking there is a fine line between too tight n not tight enough. I got tuner to do it the 4th time, had no problem with it since.

You can put a standard non lsd in there if you like....even from a 6 cly wagon, sedan & ute, will all fit

It would be a VU mate & yes mate they can fit a non LSD & even fit it from a 6 cylinder....but what is wrong with the diff in ur ute?? The LSD I bought from the VY Maloo ute was only $500 & fitted it myself. The diff in ur ute SHOULD be LSD standard??. I have a standard non lsd here if its any...

Something else to consider!.....I had the same prob with mine...was starting to run hot whilst on the highway. Always ran at 91 always.....but started to get up to 98 on the highway & the only reason I knew is I heard the thermo fans come on low speed, anyway turns out I had a crack in the hot...

Indicator stalk sounds like it needs to be replaced. I 10 minute visit to the auto sparky should have the problem confirmed

or you could avoid driving of a night till you can get to see a auto sparky on monday......less hassles for you that way. He will probibly have it sorted in 10 minutes

Tell me, what did u use to stick it there. I know the ones ur talking about as Ive seen them at autobarn.....but Im not convienced they will just sit there with there flimsy clicks at rear

I have a 2000 vx berlina.......it has all the bells n whistles...including trac control.......To be honest all my family bar 2 are in the NSW police force, 2 of my uncles are in the Hwy Patrol & theyve never seen a manual in any of there cars, not in the past 30 yrs anyways

If there are bleeders on a LS1 to bleed air from radiator/cooling system, well Ive never seen one. accentstencil is right as far as not having to bleed system on an LS1 as the header tank is the highest point

Mate, I couldnt find my leak either till I had it pressure tested....turned out to be where the top radiator hose goes on....well it was cracked just underneath of the plastic snout that inserts into the hose (mental block) & would only leak under high pressure. Was annoying the **** out of me...

Gee mate you only have one work.....both mine come on either when you turn a/c on or temp goes over 98.....if temp gets to 104 both kick up a notch........maybe they changed after the VX?

Ive got it sortted guys thanks, turns out the single red wire that went into original h1 bulb is indeed an earth.....my bad :-)

Cant remember how exactly, but I do know there are 2 screws under the lower part of the facia, like in photo u see where the facia joins on to the facia underneath....its the underneath part that has to come off first to get to the screws
