Urgent! drivers door open but lock stuck shut

I recently changed all the insides of my door into another, however the central locking will not open the locking mechanism and i cannot close my drivers side door. I have tried using the key, handle and lifting the lock tab in the door but no luck. Is this an easy fix??? thinking I may have to...

    lean bank on ecotech

It is common for 1 bank to lean out, more than likely something is causing one of the o2 sensors to give a different reading. Have you checked for error codes?

Water gurgle when foot gives it a boot

Iv had this problem, I noticed it if i revved it a little in neutral. I thought it was air trapped in the heater core, so tried to bleed the system a few times, but couldnt get rid of the noise. Later on I noticed a smell of coolant, and found that the heater core was leaking. When I replaced...

    VU Bogging?

Hey mate, any luck so far? I found this thread, which was quite interesting http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/vr-vs-holden-commodore-1993-1997/66579-up-hill-under-load-problems.html It got me thinking, in my case the hesitation is only when hot, so shouldnt be injectors, right? I dont have...

    VU Bogging?

If you search on here for ignition leads resistance you should find something. Turns out that my car is still bogging a bit too, so leads didnt fix it, the car was at op temp, and going up a slope, in third just after 2000 rpm and yea, it was bogging =( I have changed my coils about 1.5 yrs ago...

    VU Bogging?

In my case the resistance of the leads tested ok, but changing them fixed the problem. If I checked the resistance when the leads were hot it may have showed up? But yea should check the resistance n go from there, if its been a while since the leads were changed it probably wouldnt hurt to...

    VR 5.0L starting issues

Hey man If you have spark, fuel, air etc, it might be that the starter mototr isnt turning the motor quick enough to fire. Happened to me before on my falcon, changed starter motor and it started.

    error codes 64 and 75

Hey, I had the same codes, engine light coming on etc. By cleaning the o2 sensor connector plugs with electrical contact cleaner I managed to stop the engine light coming on. Its worth trying because I changed both o2 sensors about a year before this started happening.

Vs ute petrol smell in cabin

I think it connects on the side of the tank behind the cabin. There are inspection holes that can be removed from inside the cabin, behind the seats. You may also be able to see where it goes from above the tank with a mirror, not sure...

    VS ute fuel smell help.

Hey mate, I had the same problem of a fuel smell in the cab. I checked the carbon canister, fuel lines, tank breather hoses etc, all seemed fine. I did read on here somewhere that tightening the fuel filler cap a good 2 to 3 turns might help, and Im pretty sure thats what fixed the smell for me.

oil leak stops at halfway on dipstick

After loosening the sump to disable the balance shaft, my car leaks oil until about half way on the dipstick then stops (seemed to only do it after it got hot/engine fan came on). I cleaned the oil off the sump, and found a couple of loose bolts so retightened etc... but it looked like it...

    Coughing and choking

Cool glad you found out what it is. Just thought Id tell you that I bought 3 MSD Ignition 8224 - MSD Blaster Replacement Coils from Jegs in america, which ended up being cheaper including shipping than oem ones. They are supposed to be pretty good. They are made in china now, but I havent had...

    Coughing and choking

After I washed my engine I had a misfire problem under load, it slowly got better and only happened when warmed up. I ended up changing the coil packs after a while, which fixed it, but maybe it would have got better if I waited longer? I dont know.

    Coughing and choking

Id say electrical system. I would check the coil packs out, see if you can borrow some known good ones and swap them in if you can. I doubt the throttle body or fuel reg would get worse with engine temp, and I think the crank angle sensor just cuts the motor entirely.

the connection could be dodgy at the indicator loom?, happened to me the other day. Try wiggling the wires behind the loom, or take the globe out and check that its got a good contact.

    Oil leak/pooling in unusual location

You sure its coming from above where the plenum attaches to the manifold? Sometimes oil and/or coolant can travel up the bolts holding the intake manifold to the head when the inlet manifold gasket is leaking.

    Noisy Balance shaft

Iam pretty sure my balance shaft is causing the rattle in my v6 vs. After it warms up its pretty loud. But I was wondering why it doesnt rattle when its cold? Could putting a thicker oil in there quieten it down? At the moment im using 15w50 oil. so I was thinking a thicker oil at high temp...

re tapping bolt hole thread for inlet manifold

Hey guys, just wondered what is the best way to clean the bolt holes for the inlet manifold to the head? Will carby cleaner/gasket remover be enough and air gun? or do i have to re tap them? I was thinking I could cut a cross on the bottom of an inlet manifold bolt, to re tap them, but could I...

question about new MSD coil with crack in it

I would of got standards, but they are very expensive compared to MSD, the car seems to be going well though for now. Also, JEGS are awesome, they are going to send me another one without me having to return my coil with the crack in it.

question about new MSD coil with crack in it

Cheers for the reply, Yes cracks and coil packs dont mix, what I should of asked is whether a crack in that part of the coil would effect anything? It looks to me as though this part of the coil isnt that susceptible to internal damage, as there are gaps around that gold sleeve anyway? I dunno...

    loose strut tower drama

Ok thanks man that helps a lot, gives me something to work on. The thread is ok, its the part on the top for a size 10 bit thats rounded. It has king springs and the shocks seem fine, so maybe I just need the bearings and strut tops? One other question, it doesnt look like its gonna come off...
