It genuinely has been a very sad day for us true Holden lovers. I work at my local HSV/Holden dealership detailing cars (I'm still quite a young'n). There was a boatload of LE SS's and HSV's that were picked up/delivered today (GTS, Senator, Motorsports, Magnum Utes, SSV's and even a Director, build #212 to be exact). Each one that drove away left me a little bit heartbroken I must say. It wasn't until seeing them all in the showroom this morning, that it really hit me... The fact that these amazing cars won't be manufactured anymore. It definitely made the day a bit harder, but I can't even begin to imagine how hard it is on those who actually work in the manufacturing process. All those jobs lost is just such a shame.
All we can really do now, is cherish the Holden's we do own, look after them, but at the same time, drive them how true Aussie Holden's are supposed to be driven! Oh, and not buy one of those new ****box "commodores" (which are not actual commodores) that will be produced from next year.
