Ok - I am potentially one of these people. I used to have my VE Ute serviced by my local mechanic, who did an amazing job and was very honest and upfront about what needed to be done. I only do very low kms, so the timing cycle is what I work to. (e.g. I had my VE's 6 year, 90,000km service with only 16,000kms on the clock).
While my current Redline is under warranty and with capped price servicing it kind of makes sense to take it back to the dealer, particularly if there is a warranty issue identified. Any argument against this logic? My 1 year service is up in the next month and wondering if I should go to the local or take it to the dealer?
I had the same dilemma recently.
Ended up going with local mechanic...
More convenient location, quicker, better oil used, matched capped price by holden...
