5L conversion questions

1991 VN commodore
so, ive got a complete 5L conversion lined up to buy to drop into my vn but it has a vs trans, loom and ecu with it. am i able to use all 3 without any issues? would it all work as if it were a vn trans loom and ecu or will i need to get things tuned/programmed or whatever.

Can put complete vs driveline into a vn/p but cant really mix n match as alot of wiring & electrical parts don't interchange as vs is odd model out.

Do some research on forum should find decent info on conversion.

the VS donor will need the loom & ECU to suit the VS. Won't be able to use the VN ECU as it doesn't have the PCM for the teh 4l60e.

The VN cluster won't work with some VS inputs like the VSS speed input. Basically GMH moved their car control systems forward a generation between VN/VP and VR/VS.

vn/p cluster does work correctly of ecu when tapped into correct pinout.

Add extended wire from ecu loom dash plug to vn/p violet wire to the plug on top of trans tunnel/firewall that goes to speedo in cluster

You do have to remove divide by 5 vn/p as no longer needed.

I think pinouts are different configuration...not sure as I'm not tbh.

Do know can bypass vn/p divide by 5 setup & tap straight to speedo wire because I did it...didn't need corrector box but will when change diff gears.
