Thank you dgp! I have you to thank for the confidence to know that this outcome was a reasonable expectation - knowing that this was not a one-off following your reply.
Not that the Service Dept argued; they just stated they hadn't heard of it before but were happy to take the pics and send them to Holden - which is what one would hope for.

I suppose that makes sense. "Crazed" means small cracks on the surface of something.
