Android Auto Disconnecting

has any one else had the issue where android auto disconnects 30 seconds after enabling it?
i am thinking it might be a software issue.

Make sure you're using a high quality cable - I've found it pretty reliable in the ZB....

Android auto in my Mitsubishi is really inconsistent. Sometime it works for days on end, other times disconnected every 5 mins.

As Paul says check cabling/try other cables as it seems very fussy

I did try a few cables but this morning i tried one from a portable hdd that was only about 30cm long and it works fine.
It looks like my s10 and the 1m long cables dont work well with it.

I'm using an Amazon Basics cable IIRC

Cable is common.
I've found connecting to an aftermarket unit that the long aftermarket lead keeps dropping out, no stability etc.
Swapped back to the original cable (although loose usb port) and it works much better.

i bought a short one (15-20cm) from K-Mart. Never had a problem with it
