@Not_An_Abba_Fan particularly interested in what you make of this one.

Hideous drone at a certain rev range. Have a son with some sensory “issues” and can see he is going to meltdown over this.

After ideas on toning it down a bit. Happy to travel to Bunbury to do this.
No rear muffler is fitted.

Also of note, @Tonner Matt, no sway bar on this one. An ‘05 VZ Cross 8. Traditional diff cover this time.

This car hasn’t had a good drive for what is, I’m guessing, 3-4 months.

Car had one hell of a repetitive squeak when it was first brought from the yard. Not some much a tick, but a squeak. I thought, “it’s got a buggered lifter”

Now after a short bit into my journey home, the noise went away and has not yet returned.

It has factory oil pressure and voltage gauges instead of stability gauges in top centre.

It needs a really deep clean. So much grot and Schmutz. I gave all the high contact surfaces a clean with anti bac wipes and isopropyl. Black muck just flowed.

Yuck.

They had a dog. Paw prints on the tarp, a hitch with a clasp still attached in the tray, and a center rear seat belt buckle chewed by the goodest boy/girl.

Will be getting the red hard-lid vinyl wrapped in satin black and transferred to the Cross 8.

Good colour choice. Black lid looks so much better than body colour, matches the flares.

Have to add a gloss black stripe of some sort though. The hard lid exceeds the width of a roll, so a racing stripe across the top of the lid will allow a join to be hidden.

More like this but in gloss black going left to right nearer the back window, over satin black.

It is a 5.7ltr. It has high k’s but that’s ok because the condition is good and an engine refresh is on the cards once licenced here in WA and the old Crewman sold.
