Lol - this thread is the biggest cluster#### of **** body kits I've seen since the last bodykit thread. You got a VR/VS??? Get a VR/VS SS kit or VR/S HSV kit. That's about as good as it'll ever get. SS kit IMO looks best.

Glad Henry Ford wasn't happy with whats was on offer or we would all be driving horses. If you cant mix n match, then you have to go to the Holden dealer and just buy what they sell I guess. You do that, and enjoy your ride.
I'll do what I am doing, and be happy with that. In the end, the OP will choose something and that will be his choice.
Get your head out of your arse.

Henry Ford trying to stick with the status quo nearly sent Ford broke. He ran with the Model T for decades whilst the opposition not only caught up but overtook him with better body styling and design. GM were the first to dedicate staff to body styling and design and then quickly overtook Ford Mo Co in sales never to be headed (by Ford anyway). I'm not sure what the relevance of it is to this thread however as there is nothing even approaching good design posted so far.

lol your history knowledge is no doubt superior to mine, I will happily concede that. The point is... 'IMO'. Its your opinion. Just because you dont like other mods doesnt mean they arent suitable or desirable for others.
So what should you do is say.. I think VR/VS shouldnt have kits from other models, etc... not 'this thread is the biggest cluster#### of **** body kits I've seen'. Who made you the only person with taste in the world?

I like my bodykit, I have no trouble saying it. I dont care much if you dont, but how about a bit of common courtesy? That **** just aint necessary.

I like genuine kits on there respective models

I don't like the VY-VZ kits on vrs becasue imo they make the ass end look to square and ruins the lines on of the car, but each to there own I guess.

I also have a question though I have a VS with a HSV kit but the sideskirts are held on with screws and pretty much needs re-tightning each day and there is a 2 cm gap between the skirt and the part of the skirt that goes under the guard, what would be the best way to fix it glue it down and have the screw holes repaired and re-spray the skirts?

Are you saying the skirt is hanging down because the screws are loose, causing the 2cm gap? Are they screws or bolts?

If they are screws, maybe a slightly larger or different threaded screw might pull it tight. If you found it worked, you could use some Sikaflex on the top edge of the skirt, especially at the screw holes, then screw it all tight. Once the Sika sets, nothing is going to move again.

I like the general look of my mods, they make the whole car look larger and more aggressive. That's just my opinion though, and I appreciate you respecting that.

My personal dislike is false badges, like turbo or supercharged badges on cars that aren't, or chev badges on cars that have no chev parts in them at all. I have friends with these and I give em heaps .. but they are still my friends, because I respect their right to their own tastes too.

If we all liked the same thing, there would only be one model of one car in one colour available in the world....

Basicly what I mean is, when the side skirts were put on the car instead of being glued on at the top they were secured down with screws and did the job fine but now the fibreglass is breaking away from around the screws. it secured tighly under the car but the part of the skirt that sits under the doors keeps coming loose.

Being it is a genuine clubsport kit, the sideskirt has 2 pieces one section that runs under the doors and a 2nd part that sits under the guard, there supposed to meet to complete the sideskirt however they do not meet and created a gap ill get a photo tomorrow.

Sorry mate, but that just looks hideous. Please lose the xr6 side skirts, its not a Ford and its disrespect to Commodores. I hope your front end is on a Jack and doesn't sit like that normally.

i think i may have posted that there IS NO ENGINE. i will be losing the XR6 Badge, since its not a ford, but i happen to LIKE the look of it on MY car. so if you dont like it, shove off. what do you have? im betting either a STOCK body (coz ur too close minded and unimaginative) or you have some sort of abomination of mixed parts( for the exact other reason)

if you dont like it thats fine, but dont tell me how to modify my car.

people on this forum always get so hyped up about bodykits....
its clearly and area of modification where people have strong views

back to the OP's question
mate i think you should be looking for either a vr/vs ss or hsv kit. you will have the least problems with fitment and i beleive they compliment the lines of the car!
you may even be able to pick one up in your cars colour avoiding the need for paint
there are a lot of people who have soft spots for vr/vs hsv kits (me included)

IMO later model kits on vr or vs are too square and i would rather have no kit than one of them

but its down to personal preference!
