If it were me with this situation, I'd take the buggered bolt to the bolt shop and get a replacement.....For the flare at the base of the bolt head, a simple washer will fix that issue....

The ringing/emailing/texting etc will potentially cause the wrong bolt to be supplied when you collect it, or if it is delivered.....
Yeah I'm not worried about getting the same head and would just happily use a washer with it.

With the emails, I'm asking if they have bolts in stock that are similar and if they confirm they have any similar based on the picture and dimensions I gave them, I'll drop in with the bolt itself to confirm with them.
Not purchasing anything without confirming in person with the bolt.
And unfortunately all my local ones are close on weekends so during the week.

I'd be very surprised if they didn't have a bolt with a flange. My closest bolt shop has a large range of nuts and bolts with a flange.

But probably not?
One day l'll go out & buy a good suttons tap & die set. Hopefully before l've replaced all chinesium ones!
But probably not?hahaha;)
Usually, the chinesium taps don't break off in your workpiece and ruin it, they won't cut because they're dull, or they snap before cutting being soft, or shatter being glass hard...

Why not
Excluding the Flange and Head height?
I got no idea?
Cheers Pete
I mean in general Pete. Sure ask for a flanged hex head if you like, the thing is a 10mm bolt might have a 12mm head or 14mm depending on the maker. The bolt guys main concern is material, length, thread. But iff he has the exact style of bolt that's great so go for your life. I hope I'm making some sense here buddy. Regards.

Got email responses before I could call all 3 of the business I messaged.
2 said they have what I need as a Hex nut plus Washer combo
And the other said they had them in stock.
Got time off the afternoon from work so I'll go visit them in person with the bolt in person to confirm.
Going to visit the one that said they have them in stock first since they're the closest.

Tomorrow Arvo
I work from 8:30 to 4:30 and all 3 shops are about the same times so I'm taking afternoon off from work so I can go to all the places if needed.

Let's not confuse bolt size with socket size.
For metric/UN yeah.
But the joy of BSF or Whitworth - the spanner size IS the shank size, not the diameter of the head hex.
Confusing, yet genius (but mostly just confusing, haha)
