Hi all I have a question about cam upgrades and supporting mods.

So I’m looking at getting the VCM 11 Cam kits with dod delete https://vcmstore.com.au/collections...mce-ve-vf-dod-cam-package?variant=16601483332

I’m getting a VCM OTR at the same time so that covers air coming in and I have HSV 340kw tri Y’s and 2.5” exhaust that I’m happy with so wasn’t going to change that out.

And I’m just wondering what else I should be done at the same time?

I have been told to do the oil pump?
What about cooling like radiator or should I add any oil coolers?
Also maf or mafless tune??

Information about the mistress
My15 SSV manual L77 with 30xxxkm’s

I've posted this elsewhere but anyways, on the oil pump side of things, I was surprised to see three different pumps/flow rates on VCM's page. I shot them an email an apparently L77/LSA require +33%, unless like you, your pulling out AFM hardware in which case the standard or +18% is the way to go for an L77 with a cam job.

@imoengnr do the high flow cats really make much difference? I think there was a thread somewhere saying that it’s not that big a difference.

@Banjo79 do you remember where you posted your information?

No, but to sum up, VCM said you cannot go wrong with a +18%, but standard would also do the job.
Also posted some info on trunnion upgrades in the VE section under "cam upgrade package" currently on page 2, if your considering them.

VEGTS BUILT BLOWN E85
stock oil pump is fine if u have dod then u have a higher volume pump anyway same as the LSA has piston squirters so they bump up the volume and use a relief valve in the sump to control too much for higher rpm, usually stock volume is fine if u go too much u will fill the heads with too much oil thats why they use the relief valve

If you are going to up the power output and you haven't already done them then do your brakes at the same time.

At least that's what my Daddy always taught me, brakes first, power second.

Nothing wrong with getting the tingles....Tingles give you inspiration to modify stuff :D
