Must be. Then the only viable option would be too swap the transmission to a 6spd but I don’t think anyone has done it.
Ford fg 5 spd were also garbage but 6spd auto swaps are common on them

Going by GM's transmission rating system, the 4l60e is a heavier duty transmission than the 5l40e.
