Look here mate, if your car is out of warranty it's a no brainer. Source your oil at any parts store when they throw it out on special, they do half price deals and the Wedge you save is significant. Buy a sump plug washer and oil filter. I always go OEM but up to you.
Ring up Holden or your local trusted mechanic and book it in for an oil change supplying said parts. Holden allow 30 minutes for this job and charge accordingly. Here in Perth it's 140 per hour.
If all you need is an oil change this is a very economical solution. My VF goes in today but not to Holden, it's off to my local guy. If you don't do a lot of miles stuff is very easy. Once a year oil change or 10 K. Thats how i run it.
Cheers.
PS. People always bitch about Holden but you must remember the Business is hugely expensive to run so the plebs get charged top wack for service. It's the way stuff works my friend.
Us little people must game the system to save some hard earned but at the same time ensure our ride is looked after. Buy your own quality parts and then pay people for their labour. Only use quality parts and never try and save money using cheaper parts.
That won't work for you.
