i think people are missing the point a bit.
the NBN will in practice focus on delivering broadband to rural communities, so that they are not left behind cities. to me, it's a waste of money. the reality is, rural communities are rural for a reason - they don't have the same amenities as cities. deal with it - it's reality. $43 billion to perpetuate Labor's socialist ideal of everyone being equal, no matter what the cost, is just irresponsible. also, they're bound to screw it up.
