Hey guys just picked up my new car. Bit of an upgrade from the old VS Stato and i'm heaps happy with it!!
Found it on the net and was speaking to the owner for about a week, left work at lunchtime yesterday, hopped a plane to melbourne and drove it home to adelaide last night, got home at 1am and started work again at 8 haha.
NAME: Corey
MODEL- 2001 VX Clubsport R8
COLOUR- Sting red
ENGINE- 5.7L LS1 V8
GEARBOX- T56 6-Speed Manual
DIFF- Standard LSD, new driveshafts, new cradle and all new bushes.
MODS- Redback twin 2.5" catback exhaust, crappy double din h/u with pioneer speakers all round and kicker 12" sub.
I've been looking for a clubby for about a year and didnt find too many that had the options i wanted which were Red/White/Grey paint, Manual, Leather coulsons, big brakes, sunroof.
this has everything except the brakes... i did a HSV authentication with the VIN number and according to that it had premium brakes as an option so i think someone may have removed them which im not happy about.
Within 24 hours of buying it, i put superlows in the front, ultras in the rear and bolted my 20" supersports on. Looks 100% tougher i reckon.
Future mods arent much except enjoy it. Maybe an OTR and mafless tune, change the rear muffler to a pair of hotdogs for a better note, darker tint and a better quality head unit.
