Dash saying door is open but it’s closed

Someone just posted that they changed their boot lock and actuator and now the door open light is coming on.

Ive just replaced my boot lock and actuator, but am now having issues with the door open sensor. I open and close the boot, then the door open light is on the dash and the horn sounds when I lock it. I give it 5 minutes, then the car will lock and unlock fine and the door open light goes away...

I took it to GM and they said it was the LHR door. So I replaced the actuator with a new one from GM and it was quite costly. The light still hasn’t gone away. This leads me to believe it’s the wiring. What can I do to check the wiring?

I’d buy an actuator from a wrecker first to see if that is the fault.

To test the wiring, all you can do is grab a multimeter and test the continuity at each end of the plugs.

I’d be looking at right hand drivers door.
