Diff oil - needs change or not ?

I have a metal transfer pump that I bought at Sprints for about $50-$60 around 20 years ago. I still have it but it won't fit a VE diff. It does fit the transmission though, which has a larger bung. Last time I went to use it I noticed the push rod handle had broken on one side. No idea how it happened, now a little hard to push thick gear oil through. I do sit the bottle in hot water before I pump it in though.

seems like its 1.5L i got one of these, cant remember them being that expensive tho

I have the 1L version of that and found a 1 Qt metal bodied fluid syringe buried in a deep, dark corner of my workshop today.

WOW!!
That's a big-arse fancy machine just to change diff oil!
I just used the syringe thingy. It's a bit awkward because you have to fill it a few times, but it does the job if you're not in a hurry.
