I can't find info on the "Procedure" for disabling the SIR system.

I'm removing the whole crash pad and pad frame as part of an unfortunate repair we can't avoid.

•I have had the battery disconnected over night.
•I have had the ignition on with lights switched on for 5 mins to make sure any residual discharge is used.
•Then I have pulled the 10 amp SIR fuse from the footwell fuse block.

Have I missed anything?
The manual is quite vague and says:

Cool, thanks.
I have disconnected the passenger airbag and got the pad out.

As the warnings you attached stated, don’t carry the airbag by its wiring and don’t place it somewhere face down.

If you have it face down and the airbag goes off, maybe due to static discharge if that is a possibility, then the airbag assembly gets thrown up into the air at silly speeds as the bag deploys. As such the airbag assembly becomes much like a missle so it will kill those it hits.

Great advice. It is being stored face up on the floor.
Disconnecting that airbag took a lot of extra care and concentration.
Quite heavy too.
