Have been a little slack after work but got stuck in last weekend as got the lights/power connected up in the shed. I swear its brighter in there then the sun....

I've cut a lot of the inner archs out to try get more clearance.

Done most of the rear diffuser, need to trim a few spots add some bolts and finish welding it up. I then need to get more steel so I can cut the fins for the middle section of the diffuser. Probably 3. Throwing the idea around of putting a canard in the section behind the wheels but unsure yet. I also ended up cutting the middle tube out. I also had to **** around a lot with the driver side to match the passenger. Due to the scoop being off centered due to the rails being off to the passenger side.

I'm also thinking I'm going to need to build 16m long ramps to get the car onto the trailer now haha.
Oh and my turbo arrived. Mamba GTX3076 .63 billet ball bearing.

Anyway think that's all for now. Hopefully finish the diffuser except for the fins this arvo after work then start looking at working on the front.

Forgot I also built my sheet metal bender.

Works reasonably well. Just didn't make it out of thick enough steel as I've got 4 bolts to clamp it together. 2 on the edge and 2 700mm apart. anything winder then the 2 inside bolts and it starts to flex. Still works fine just don't get a tight bend in the middle.

Little more progress.

Going to cut the top pipe off the intercooler and get my brother to weld on a 45 or something of that description so I can bring the intercooler up move as its inline with the sub frame where it sits currently.

Have a feeling i'll be on boost pretty quickly. Hoping to have 3 silicon bends as my only cooler pipework.

Hope everyone in QLD survived the storms with minimal damage. I lost a small tree and my shed leaks a in a few places. Not really a huge issue just more of a annoyance.

Thanks mate, its getting there slowly.

Few more things done during the week. Sorta forgot I was building a drift car and started to build a tank. Front end is going to be super sturdy when I'm done. All that tube work is in 32nb, will be another hoop around the other side to protect the passenger side turbo. Then i'll get some 25nb and do a brace above the turbo and also under the turbo and back to the rails. Probably do another bar in behind the cooler with two hoops going under the cooler to the front hoop to try protect that and the sump. As the sump is the lowest part of the car at the front and it has some scrapes on it already.

Pick up a alloy 90 and some silicon bends this arvo and look at getting the cooler mounted as I ran out of steel.

Kamak? I hadn't heard of them, did a quick search on their website and it didn't have much information, Although they did have kinugawa turbos as well? I've got Mamba turbos, Which come out of tiawan... Although I have been hearing good things about them. They are like a middle ground turbo, similar to Masterpower, proboost etc etc. Better then china and Kinugawa stuff but not as good as say precision/garrett. They are also almost half the price of a garrett while still being billet, ball bearing and such.

Got a little bit done Friday night, was at a bucks all Saturday so didn't get anything done and was a wreck sunday. Made the subframe mounts and finished the hoops around the turbo's with an additional brace. Just got 1 more piece of tube to put in under the turbo's where that black line is and that's it done for the tube work. I'm going to bend up some 3mm plate with dimple dies and put it under the intercooler to try protect it a little but that's pretty much it. Just need to unbolt it and weld it all up. Actually love how it looks, looks like a buggy almost, suppose that's what happens when the 2 mates helping you, build 4x4s so its always going to be stronger then required for drifting.

Also been looking into a dual caliper setup for the rear, seams easy enough.

Due to a lot of holidays recently I've got a bit more done. Front is basically complete just need to unbolt it flip it and fully weld it then prep for paint. Got oil and P/S coolers mounted. and mounted my electric P/S pump. Made the bonnet pin mounts, both headlights and guards bolt on. Cooler bolts on. I build 1 side external gate/screamer.

I started making the wing mounts will get some photos tonight and that's probably about it.

Didn't end up going down the fuel system path just yet but instead decided to get the motor started. Went and spoke to the guy who did some work and tuned my skyline a few years ago and seems keen enough.

Looking at getting the bottom end rebored slightly as he says the factory machine work is pretty average plus a few other things done just cant remember... Then I've decided to just get the bottom end forged as the motor is already apart. Originally it was just new bearings and rod bolts and regap the rings to suit boost but build it once has a nice ring to it.

Also after chatting to him for a while he reckons my external gates are a bit small. So looking at selling my current and getting bigger ones. Also thinks my rear housings on the turbos are a touch small but I'm not chasing big numbers so see where they max out at and go from there.

Anyway once that gets started i'll get onto that topic a bit more.
Side note, my welding is getting better... slowly... Just cant weld thin stuff to save myself.
Also once I pull the front off going to look at some sort of bash plate for the sump. Its taken a few minor scrapes.
