Power Adders: Engine is stock as a rock. Edited, HM Headers, Sureflo Catback and a ORRSOM OTRCAI for it where it is.

Diff Ratio: 3.01 I think.. Whatever is stock..
Wheel/Tyre size: 235/18
Fuel Type: I dunno.. Half 98 Half something else..

How do you get a 355 stroker in a vx? Dont you mean 346? std anyway? strokers start around 383 for the ls1.

So what made the engine go bang after this? I heard someone was playing with the boost true?
Just asking mate, not trying to start any sh1t!

Good results for 5.7 also.

we upped the boost for the dyno run and back to stock afterwards. Drove and ran perfect for the next week then took it out on a friday night, and just under some light load in 2nd gear it went pop. Didnt just crack a piston, it chucked the rod etc out the side, made a big mess.

Not due to too much boost, just a weak rod bolt unfortunately.

Just proves that with a built 346 that this little turbo can make some decent grunt :)

Ok so what sort of boost was the dyno run done on? whats sort of boost did it normally run? what was the difference between the two rwkw wise?

Yes ya brothers boosted ls3 will be nice for sure.

14-15psi for the dyno run, we thought that would be ok for a run as Doughy's Cross 8 runs 14psi through his stock LS1 daily and nets 400awkw.

Normally ran 8psi which was still 310rwkw
