- VY S2 MAN SS UTE
hey all,
as requested in my ss ute thread (http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/general/218377-daily-vy-s2-ss-man-ute-build.html), here is a quick copy paste snap shot of the past 3-4year build of my boosted ek civic...
i had ended up with this little sucker for a very small amount of money...
$500 with 2 weeks rego left & a burn valve...
originally it was for me to fix the head, clean it up & make some money...
I found a set of wheels i had in the shed, and a cheap set of coils made there way under the guards...
but one morning some ###wit decided he would write off my bros silvia and damage my ek in one hit...
(cant find the pics)
once i spoke with my panel beater/spray painter, it was the civics turning point in life...
i decided to go to town on this car ...
i started off with a simple brake upgrade n rear disc conversion...
JDM ITR 96spec 4x114.3 all round
i stripped it inside out at home...
engine first
interior was guttered minus dash
(no pics)
front guards where thrown out as well as the front bumper, off to the panel beater she goes
a week later
it sat this way for a good 9months...
then I get a random mms from a unknown number...
since the car was damaged in the front and insurance was paying...
we had to "repair" n paint the rad support and the front chassis rails...
so i decided to paint the whole engine bay another colour...
i spent a couple of nights after work at the panel shop completely stripping the engine bay & getting it ready for paint...
then i spoke with the painted and explained the colour i wanted and the look i was after...
i left it in his hands and prayed the colour would be right...
then i get another mms while at work..
teaser pic..
from work i went straight there...
when i saw the complete bay, i fell in love...
next on the list was the car, the painter was so excited he was doing something different to insurance repairs, just in and out work...lol
he was trying to convince me in painting the car another colour..
i wasnt convinced and prefered the factory colour
again, i rec'v another mms while at home one late evening...8pm
the shell, doors & front guards ready from paint
black base coat...
freshly baked the next morning...
